About CETU

CETU was founded in Paris by Shalini Machhar and Anmol Nautiyal. The company brings together their roots in India, their experience across Europe, and their understanding of the relationships that connect coffee from origin to market.

Our name comes from Setu, the Sanskrit word for bridge.

The people behind CETU

Anmol Nautiyal

Co-founder · Sourcing & Buyer Relationships

Anmol leads sourcing and buyer relationships at CETU, working closely with Indian coffee estates and buyers across Europe. His role includes estate selection, sample programmes, cupping feedback, quality specifications, harvest planning, and coordinating coffees from origin to their final destination.

After moving from India to Paris in 2017 to study International Business, Anmol built his career across hospitality, event management, community building, and cross-border e-commerce. These experiences brought him closer to different markets, cultures, and the practical side of international business.

Living in Europe also gave him a closer view of how Indian coffee was perceived outside its origin. Despite India's long coffee-growing history and remarkable diversity of origins, he rarely saw its producers and estates represented in the specialty coffee market. This perspective shaped CETU's approach of building relationships between producers and buyers through transparency, consistency, and a shared focus on quality.

Working together

Anmol brings conversations with buyers and market perspectives, while Shalini brings producer relationships and origin information. Together, they assess opportunities, connect the right coffees with the right partners, and guide CETU's overall direction.

One of us is always closer to the farm, and one of us is always closer to the cup. Nothing gets decided without both in the room.
